SERVICES
I am a highly-trained professional providing compassionate care for your pup. I work one-on-one with your dog in a low-stress environment. Your dog is never left alone in a crate, or around other dogs! Located just 7.5 miles from New Market Center in Boone, my home salon is a short drive from town. Enjoy a walk by the beautiful New River, relax on my front porch, or run some errands while your dog experiences first-class grooming.
All services are tailored to your dog's specific needs. I offer everything from simple baths to elaborate haircuts.
Your dog is bathed with a high-end shampoo best suited to his skin and coat. If needed, I follow up with a deeply moisturizing conditioner. Faces are washed with a tearless shampoo, and ears are cleaned with a gentle formula. Nails are trimmed or buffed with a Dremel. Your dog is then blown dry with a high-velocity dryer and brushed to perfection.
If your pup needs a haircut, I provide a personalized trim that brings out the best in your furry friend. I even provide specialty services such as hand-stripping and hand-scissored cuts.

ABOUT
Maggie Hunter, Owner
CPDT-KA and Fear Free Trainer
NDGAA Certified Groomer
I began training as a groomer in January 2016, and have been in love with the world of pet care ever since. Before discovering grooming, I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a bachelor's in Biology and English. After that, I traveled the world, worked as a ski and kayak instructor, attended Appalachian State for a Master's in education, and taught middle school students. Now, I spend my free time reading books about dogs, attending educational seminars, playing dog sports with my Airedale and Vizsla, and working with pet care professionals to learn as much as possible about my fields of study.
In addition to being a groomer, I am also Certified Professional Dog Trainer with extensive experience with shy and fearful dogs. This makes me the only pet care professional in the High Country with expertise in both professional training and grooming. I strive to create a thoughtful, educated, and gentle approach to every dog on my table. And, in the event of an unlikely and catastrophic emergency, I am also Pet First Aid & CPR certified.
